The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, met today with the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, while in New York City to sign the Paris Agreement on climate change.

Together, they discussed the growing Canada-Colombia bilateral and commercial relationship, as well as the peace process in Colombia.  They also discussed the challenges posed to Colombia by the war on drugs.

The Prime Minister expressed Canada’s continued support for Colombia’s peacebuilding efforts, and for security and prosperity in a post-conflict era.
