Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met today with Prime Minister Matteo Renzi of Italy on the margins of the G20 Summit in Turkey.

The leaders affirmed the longstanding relationship that exists between their countries, including through significant people-to-people ties. Both leaders also confirmed the importance of promoting the strengths of pluralistic societies.

They discussed trade and the economy, and other important international issues such as migration and the situation in the Middle East.
