Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met today with Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, President of Peru.

The Prime Minister thanked President Kuczynski for hosting this year’s APEC Leaders’ Summit, and the two leaders spoke about the importance of open markets and free trade, which benefits both economies.

They also discussed the potential for deepened cooperation through increased trade and investment, sustainable resource management, infrastructure development, and cooperation with respect to development. The Prime Minister specifically praised the President for his work to address issues relating to gender.
