The Honourable Rob Merrifield

Rob Merrifield was first elected to the House of Commons in 2000 and re-elected in 2004, 2006 and 2008.

Mr. Merrifield has co-chaired the Canada-United States Interparliamentary Group and has previously served as the Chair of the Standing Committee on Finance and the Standing Committee on Health.

Mr. Merrifield’s lifetime of community involvement includes serving as Chair of the Whitecourt School District Board of Trustees, Trustee on the Whitecourt/Fox Creek Hospital Board and a member of the Aspen Regional Health Authority. He has served the Northern Gateway Regional Division No. 10 School Authority and was an elected member of the Woodland County Council.

Mr. Merrifield and his wife Brenda have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren.
