Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced today the following changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service.
, currently Associate Deputy Minister of Public Safety, becomes Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Attorney General of Canada, effective April 6.
, currently Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Operations), Privy Council Office, becomes Deputy Minister of the Administrative Services Review, Privy Council Office, effective April 6.
, currently Chief Negotiator and Ambassador for Climate Change, becomes Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Operations), Privy Council Office, effective April 6.
The Prime Minister took the opportunity to thank John Sims
, who is retiring after a very distinguished career of over 32 years in the Public Service, for his dedication to public service and the contributions he made to the Government of Canada and Canadians. The Prime Minister wished him well in his future endeavours.
