Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke today with President Donald Tusk of the European Council.

The two leaders reaffirmed the strong and multifaceted ties that exist between Canada and Europe.  They discussed bilateral and international issues including the European Union and the outcome of the recent United Kingdom European Union membership referendum.

They undertook to continue working together for the benefit of their respective citizens and reaffirmed their commitment towards the ratification of the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA).
