The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, spoke with the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe. The leaders discussed the importance of deepening trade links between Canada and Japan and developing the untapped potential in the bilateral relationship. 

The Prime Ministers also spoke about regional and global security issues of mutual concern.
