Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands to congratulate him on his party’s success in the recent Dutch election.

The two leaders reaffirmed the rich and diverse bilateral relationship that exists between Canada and the Netherlands which is built and maintained through strong historic links, people-to-people ties and common values.  

They looking forwarding to meeting at a mutually agreeable time, and undertook to continue working closely together on a range of issues, including on the timely ratification and implementation of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).
