The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, spoke with the Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang.

The leaders discussed the importance of deepening the bilateral relationship and positive recent developments in the relationship including the newly appointed Ambassadors and upcoming Ministerial Dialogues that will span a range of areas of cooperation. The leaders discussed the progress on announcements made during the historic fall 2016 back-to-back visits made by Prime Minister Trudeau to China and Premier Li to Canada.

The Prime Minister and the Premier also spoke about regional and global security issues of mutual concern.
