Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke to United States President Donald J. Trump.

Following on the Prime Minister’s visit to Washington, D.C., last week, the two leaders discussed the recent announcement by Bombardier concerning the future of the C-Series. The leaders also expressed their hope that a solution can be found soon to our long-standing dispute concerning softwood lumber.

In 2016, bilateral Canada-United States trade was valued at nearly $882 billion, with more than $2.4 billion worth of goods and services crossing the Canada-United States border every day. Canada is the top market for most states and nearly nine million American jobs depend on trade and investment with Canada.
