The Prime Minister announces changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced the following changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service:

Matthew Mendelsohn, currently Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Results and Delivery), Privy Council Office, becomes Senior Advisor to the Privy Council Office, effective March 9, 2020. Mr. Mendelsohn will join Ryerson University as a visiting professor.

The Prime Minister took the opportunity to congratulate Matthew Mendelsohn on his return to academia, and to thank him for his service to Canadians.

The Prime Minister also took the opportunity to congratulate Gordon Venner, Associate Deputy Minister of National Defence, on his retirement from the Public Service, following a distinguished career marked by dedication and excellence in serving Canadians.
