Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met today with Melinda Gates, Co-Founder of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on the margins of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting.

Prime Minister Trudeau noted the Government of Canada’s desire to close existing gaps in reproductive rights and health care, and to cover the full range of reproductive health services as part of Maternal, Newborn and Child Health initiatives.

Together, they also discussed opportunities for collaboration on the issues of family planning and women and girls’ rights in developing countries.
