The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, met today with Mr. Hu Chunhua, Politburo Member of the Communist Party of China and Party Secretary of Guangdong Province. 

The Prime Minister welcomed the growing ties between Canada and China and undertook to work with Chinese partners to expand trade and investment ties.

The two discussed the deepening people-to-people and commercial links between Canada and China, in particular in Guangdong Province.
