Prime Minister Justin Trudeau meets with President of Burkina Faso Roch Marc Christian Kabore

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, met today with the President ‎of Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kabore, on the margins of the XVI ‎Summit of La Francophonie in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

The two leaders discussed issues of mutual interest including democracy, climate change, and regional security.

The Prime Minister and the President welcomed the strong ties between Canada and Burkina Faso and spoke about progress made through bilateral cooperation on improving access to education, countering poverty and increasing women's participation in the economy.
