Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with Prime Minister Edi Rama on the margins of the Munich Security Conference.
Prime Minister Trudeau again expressed Canada’s condolences and solidarity following the earthquake that struck Albania in November 2019.
The two prime ministers welcomed the friendship between Canada and Albania and their partnership in NATO, including Albania’s contribution to the Canadian-led enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group in Latvia. The two leaders also discussed the continued development of bilateral commercial relations.
Canada and Albania work closely in multilateral fora, including La Francophonie, NATO, and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, to develop effective responses to today’s most pressing challenges.
