Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with Mayor of Quebec City Régis Labeaume to discuss the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Prime Minister and the Mayor spoke about the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Quebec City, and ways to help contain the spread of the virus and keep people safe. Prime Minister Trudeau restated his commitment to help municipalities, provinces, and territories in their response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, including through contact tracing.

They also agreed on the importance of taking action to counter racism.

The Prime Minister and the Mayor agreed to continue working together on the response to COVID-19, in order to protect the health and safety of the people of Quebec City, and all Canadians.
