Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with Parliamentary Leader of the Green Party of Canada, Elizabeth May, ahead of the return of Parliament.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need for all Members of Parliament in the House of Commons to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Ms. May presented the Prime Minister with her party’s views ahead of the reconvening of Parliament on November 22.

The Prime Minister outlined the government’s key priorities. This includes finishing the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, tackling climate change, including at the upcoming COP26 summit, reducing emissions, and protecting Canada’s Arctic.

The meeting is part of the Prime Minister’s consultations with opposition leaders to discuss the priorities of Canadians, following the announcement of Parliament’s return.
