Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence Lawrence MacAulay met with Prince Edward Island Premier Dennis King to discuss shared priorities.
The Prime Minister and Premier spoke about the importance of working together to ensure a strong economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, and to make progress on labour market and immigration issues, health care, housing, and challenges in the agricultural sector. They also discussed the importance of investments in the biomanufacturing sector in Prince Edward Island.
The Prime Minister and Premier agreed to continue collaborating on these priorities and other issues of importance to Islanders and all Canadians.
