Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with the President of Chile, Gabriel Boric.

The Prime Minister and the President discussed the current wildfire situation across Canada. Prime Minister Trudeau thanked President Boric for Chile’s support to Canada to help battle the wildfires.

Noting that Chile also experienced devastating wildfires earlier this year, both leaders underscored the need to work together to address wildfires and the disruptive impacts of climate change in both countries and around the world.

Prime Minister Trudeau and President Boric looked forward to remaining in contact on many shared priorities.
