Yesterday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with Alberta Premier Jason Kenney.
They discussed the Keystone XL project, with Premier Kenney providing an update on construction.
Prime Minister Trudeau and Premier Kenney also discussed the joint pilot program recently established by the governments of Canada and Alberta, which will safely test an alternative to the current 14-day quarantine requirement for international travellers that would continue to protect Canadians from COVID-19. They also discussed the COVID Alert app.
The Prime Minister and the Premier also talked about Canada-U.S. relations and environmental issues. They agreed to remain in touch in the coming weeks.
