The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced the following change in the senior ranks of the Public Service:

David Vigneault, currently Assistant Secretary to the Cabinet, Security and Intelligence, Privy Council Office, becomes Director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, effective June 19, 2017.

Jeffrey Yaworski, currently Deputy Director of Operations, will serve as Interim Director of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, from May 27 until June 18, 2017.

The Prime Minister took the opportunity to congratulate Michel Coulombe, on the occasion of his retirement from the Public Service, following a distinguished career of more than 36 years marked by excellence and dedication to protecting and safeguarding our country.
