Today, the Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, spoke with President Enrique Peña Nieto of Mexico.
The leaders reaffirmed the close friendship and partnership between Canada and Mexico, and discussed the upcoming Mexican elections on July 1.
The Prime Minister updated the President on Canada’s response to the U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs.
The leaders also discussed the North American Free Trade negotiations and agreed to continue working toward a mutually beneficial outcome.
