Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey.

The leaders discussed the killing of Jamal Khashoggi in the Consulate of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul, Turkey on October 2, 2018. Prime Minister Trudeau and President Erdoğan shared perspectives on the ongoing investigations and the collective response of the international community. They discussed the continued exchange of information between Canada and Turkey on this issue.

The Prime Minister and the President also discussed the upcoming G20 Summit in Buenos Aires.
