Jane MacAdam served as the Auditor General of Prince Edward Island for seven years, retiring from the position in May 2020. Ms. MacAdam is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 40 years of experience in legislative auditing.

Prior to her appointment as Auditor General, she held a senior position of Audit Director in the Office of the Auditor General of P.E.I. for over 25 years. Throughout her career, Ms. MacAdam has been a member of various professional organizations and committees. She was chair of the executive committee for the Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors (CCOLA) in 2019. She was also a member of several CCOLA committees and groups, including Strategic Matters, Training Oversight, Governance, and Health.

Over the years, Ms. MacAdam has volunteered in her community. She has been involved with minor sports, home and school association, local consumers cooperatives, and her church. She has recently completed a three-year volunteer term on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation, a foundation dedicated to advancing public sector performance audit, oversight, and accountability in Canada and abroad. In 2022, Ms. MacAdam was appointed to the Departmental Audit Committee for Veterans Affairs Canada and is currently serving as the Chair.

In 2019, Ms. MacAdam received a Fellow designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Prince Edward Island (CPA PEI), to acknowledge her exceptional leadership and service to the profession.

Ms. MacAdam obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island and is a member of CPA PEI.
