
Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs to discuss shared priorities. The Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to work collaboratively with Premier Higgs and the Government of New Brunswick. He thanked Premier Higgs for his ongoing collaboration on a wide range of issues, notably the development of a provincial price on pollution.
The Prime Minister and the Premier also discussed health care and funding for abortion services, clean energy and electrification, Small Modular Reactors, aquatic invasive species, and softwood lumber tariffs.
They agreed to continue to collaborate on these important priorities, and look forward to the next First Ministers’ Meeting.
