Prime Minister to travel to the Netherlands, Italy, and the United Kingdom

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced he will travel to Europe for a bilateral visit to the Netherlands before participating in the Group of Twenty (G20) Leaders’ Summit in Italy and the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in the United Kingdom.

The Prime Minister will travel to The Hague, the Netherlands on October 29, 2021 where he will meet with Prime Minister Mark Rutte and other Dutch representatives to discuss both countries’ shared priorities and further the strong ties between Canada and the Netherlands.

Prime Minister announces standardized Canadian COVID-19 proof of vaccination for travel

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that, in collaboration with provinces and territories, a standardized Canadian COVID-19 proof of vaccination is now available to residents of Newfoundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, and Yukon, and will be available in the other provinces soon. Canada is also engaging with international partners to obtain recognition and acceptance abroad, so the proof can also be used to facilitate travel around the world.

Prime Minister announces the dates of the Cabinet swearing-in and return of Parliament

In September, Canadians chose to move forward for everyone. They chose to take strong action to beat the COVID-19 pandemic, create jobs and grow the middle class, put home ownership back in reach for everyone, and tackle climate change. The Government of Canada is committed to delivering on these priorities as we build back a better country.

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced the swearing-in ceremony of the Cabinet will take place on October 26, 2021, and that Parliament will return on November 22, 2021.
