
Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway Erna Solberg in advance of the NATO Leaders Meeting.
Prime Minister Trudeau and Prime Minister Solberg discussed their shared commitment to maintaining and strengthening the trans-Atlantic bond, and highlighted the fundamental role NATO plays in maintaining international security.
The Prime Ministers spoke about the ongoing work of the High-Level Panel on a Sustainable Ocean Economy, of which they are both members. The Panel is making significant contributions to the protection of the ocean environment as well as sustainable economic growth.
The two leaders agreed on the need for concrete actions to address climate change and on the importance of COP25 in coordinating a global response.
Prime Minister Trudeau and Prime Minister Solberg reaffirmed their strong collaboration on Arctic issues and agreed to continue working closely together, including on the Arctic Council.
