Today, Prime Minister Trudeau met with business leaders and investors in Singapore, including the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Temasek, Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara, the Chief Executive Officer of GIC, Lim Chow Kiat, the Chairman and Managing Director of Agrocorp, Vijay Iyengar, and the Chief Executive Officer of PSA International, Tan Chong Meng. 

Prime Minister Trudeau promoted Canada’s competitive advantages to attract future investments from Singaporean companies, such as Canada’s innovation economy and skilled and diverse talent pool. He also spoke about opportunities for joint research and development cooperation, and highlighted the dynamic and growing trade relationship between Canada and Singapore.

The Prime Minister talked about the strategic investments Canada continues to make in areas such as transportation and logistics, clean technologies, artificial intelligence, and agri-food. He also noted the ongoing work to promote secure and resilient supply chains.
