Prime Minister to deliver keynote speech at GLOBE 2016 Summit

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that he will deliver the keynote speech at GLOBE 2016, an international summit focused on innovation and sustainability that is being held in Vancouver from March 2 to 4, 2016.

At the summit, Prime Minister Trudeau will talk about Canada’s plan to invest in clean growth that will help create jobs and get the country on the path to a low-carbon economy.

Prime Minister sets new course to address crises in Iraq and Syria and impacts on the region

Prime Minister to host meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon

Governor General of Canada to visit the United States

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will travel to Washington, D.C., from February 10 to 11, 2016.

During the visit, the Governor General will meet with innovation, research, and education leaders – from both the public and private sectors – to reinforce the importance of strong international collaboration between Canada and the United States.

Prime Minister announces support for innovative water technologies in Southern Ontario

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that the Government of Canada will invest $12 million in the Southern Ontario Water Consortium (SOWC) – a group of post-secondary institutions that work together to advance clean and innovative water technologies.

Canadians want to live in a country where a clean environment and a strong economy go hand-in-hand. Today’s funding will allow the SOWC to partner with 90 businesses and not-for-profit organizations to support their efforts to increase innovation in 80 collaborative projects.
